Chief Technology Officer

The chief technology officer (CTO) reports to the CEO and is responsible for establishing Makibie’s technical vision and leading all aspects of the company’s technology development. The CTO is our top technology executive, playing an integral role in the company’s strategic direction, development, and future growth.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the execution of technology strategy for technology platforms, partnerships, and external relationships.
  • Build and manage a top-flight technology team and oversee research and development, as well as project management.
  • Provide visible leadership for the company within the technology community.
  • Anticipate and react to major technology changes to ensure the maintenance of company leadership in the competitive landscape.
  • Establish technical standards for Makibie’s products.

Recommended Qualifications

  • Demonstrated ability to interpret technology and market trends as a foundation for technology and product roadmaps.
  • Hands on experience with Java and Flex.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Analytic and Measurement experience with products such as Google or Gomez.
  • At least 10 years in engineering with experience in leading teams.

Chief Operating Officer

The chief operating officer (COO) reports to the chief executive officer and is responsible for the Makibie’s day-to-day operating activities, including revenue and sales growth; expense, cost and margin control; and monthly, quarterly and annual financial goal management.

Responsibilities

  • Direct company operations to meet budget and other financial goals.
  • Direct short-term and long-range planning and budget development to support strategic business goals.
  • Establish the performance goals, allocate resources, and assess policies for senior management.
  • Demonstrate successful execution of business strategies for company products and services.
  • Direct and participate in acquisition and growth activities to support overall business objectives and plans.
  • Participate in capital market development, including participation in road shows, bank meetings, analyst meetings, and more.
  • Develop, establish, and direct execution of operating policies to support overall company policies and objectives.

Recommended Qualifications

  • Excellent interpersonal, communications, public speaking, and presentation skills.
  • Solid working knowledge of budgeting, sales, business development, and strategic planning.
  • Ability to generate respect and trust from staff and external constituencies.
  • At least 15 years of experience, with 5 in an executive level position, such as general manager or vice president.

Sales Representative

We are looking for a smart, creative, motivated self-starter who wants to join our sales team. You must be well-organized and comfortable making dozens of cold calls a day, generating interest, qualifying prospects, building solutions and closing sales. You must also have demonstrated experience prospecting Fortune 500 and growing an account list, as well creating relationships.

Must be customer focused and innovate and work closely with the rest of the Makibie family.

Responsibilities

  • Be responsible for the entire sales process, from prospecting to closure
  • Lead generation/outbound calling and warm lead follow up
  • Understand customer needs and requirements
  • Be able to sell and differentiate in a competitive environment
  • Provide online demonstrations
  • Close sales and achieve quarterly sales quotas

Information Architect/Lead Designer

We are looking for a smart, creative, motivated self-starter who wants to join the design team at a rapidly growing company. As an Information Architect you will be responsible for developing IA documentation (site maps, transaction flows, schematics, navigation models) for both web sites and applications. In this role you will be expected to collaborate with a project team and support the Art Director in the execution of all information architecture deliverables. A solid understanding of user-centered design processes will be crucial to your success here.

We are looking for a smart, creative, motivated self-starter who wants to join the design team at a rapidly growing company. As a Web Designer/Developer you will be expected to design creative cutting edge websites. The ideal candidate will have a solid portfolio of original work.

Responsibilities

  • Design visually attractive interfaces and web pages based on principles of good design and usability
  • Construct application pages using current Web languages and techniques
  • Ensure that the pages conform to standards of accessibility (e.g., Section 508, W3C), HTML validation, and browser compatibility
  • Work with our team to proactively assess client needs and recommend solutions to assist in their overall internet strategy

  • Work with project teams to identify and collect web metrics that can measure the success of their enhancements or additions to our sites
  • Identify opportunities for improving the user experience on any of our sites based on web metrics

  • Work with project teams and business partners to identify opportunities for live-site A/B studies (comparing alternative versions of a design online) and conduct the studies. Appropriately analyze the results in real time and make modifications to the study
  • Develop a set of web metrics that can be used as a baseline for characterizing, assessing, and tracking the user experience on our sites
  • In-depth familiarity with analysis of web metrics from live, large-scale sites
  • Should include familiarity with one or more web analytic packages (e.g., WebTrends, Gomez, Keynote)
