LAMP Developer Intern

Makibie is looking for a smart, creative, motivated self-starter who wants to join a strong team of developers in a rapidly growing company, building cutting edge applications for a wide range of industry and user needs. The LAMP Developer will be a part of our Applications Development team developing scalable, database-driven web applications for our production websites in a LAMP (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP) environment. This internship has opportunity to convert to a full-time position. Minimum 10 hours per week on-site.

Responsibilities:
Design, develop and enhance existing products
Participate in an Agile development environment
Must be able to work independently and as part of a team
Meet project deadlines
Committed to quality and creating readable, reliable and maintainable code

Qualifications:
Proficient in PHP, PERL and MYSQL along with XHTML, XML and JavaScript
Experience with AJAX, JSON, RSS
Ability to think creatively to produce new ideas
Imaginative spirit and sense of humor

Software Developer Intern

The software developer intern will use design documentation, such as Functional Programming Specifications and high level design documents to implement the identified components. They also ensure that the implemented components are unit tested and ready to be integrated into the product. Software developers also provide fixes to defects identified by the verification team during the software development life cycle. This internship has opportunity to convert to a full-time position. Minimum 10 hours per week on-site.

Basic knowledge in Java
Basic knowledge in SQL
Basic knowledge in XML
